Tracking Employee Training

We are looking for a database, or info on how to set one up to track employee training. We want to be able to track all the training that an employee goes through. There are a couple of those that the employee must retake annually. We would like to be able to pull up a report that shows when this training is due based on the last date taken. It would be great if there is already something out there that is free, but if not, would like to be directed to some info on how to set this up in MS Access.

The HR module in our payroll system tracks employee training and certificates.  You might check the software you are using for payroll and see if it has the capabilities to track what you are looking for.  I know the outsourced payroll systems will track this too (like ADP)

How many employees do you have?  I am with Creative Software Solutions in Houston, TX and we have a product developed with MS Access for volunteer managers.  It tracks alot of information about volunteers including the need to retake training.  Some organizations that use ROVIR use it to track their employees as well as their volunteers.  There is a free version available that tracks 100 names or less.  If you are interested the website is www.rovirinfo.com
