I'm not personally familiar with NPower NY, but I've worked closely with NPower DC as a nonprofit client before starting to work for TechSoup. I found their staff professional, helpful for giving good tech advice, and great at maintaining our (then) rickety network.
We did a full hardware overhaul with them after having a variety of issues with our really old systems and we replaced 12 computers in one day -- from data transfer (like moving pst files over and browser favorites) and reconfiguring a new server for our network -- in one day.
We also found that if we called to ask a "dumb" question that only took 10-15 minutes to answer, that they didn't bill us for that smidge of time like some vendors do. Never really had any problems.
Again, this is regarding NPower DC (and is a couple years ago at this point), so I don't know if the same high standard would apply to NPower NY, but figured I'd post it for what it's worth.
