Hi to all from Orlando, Florida

This is a wonderful site rich in content and ideas for non-profits.

Our discovery of Tech Soup is timely as Give The World Your Heart, Inc. recently became an approved 501 (c) (3) and now it’s time to launch our programs with best practices.
Our Vision: To make the World better where giving gratitude heartbeats is a common practice for all.

Our Mission: To assist charitable organizations in ministering to and encouraging their communities, including, but not limited to, providing ways for all people to express gratitude and thankfulness.
We have developed a website to share with others that educates the public on how to count their positive gratitude heartbeats for free at Give The World Your Heart (please see www.gtwyh.org)
Our programs count heartbeats while people increase focus and decrease anxiety.
Existing and emerging technologies will play a significant role.
We just downloaded Business Plan Pro to generate a formal plan that will include funding for software and hardware.
I am most grateful to the vendors, keepers of Tech Soup and fellow members that Tech Soup community exists to help others.
We will need suggestions in best practices in many areas.
Thank you,
Bennett “Sandy” Masin
Founder of Give The World Your Heart, Inc.

Hi, Sandy, and welcome to TechSoup. Hope we can be of help to you here, and sounds like we can.

I find the concept on your website fascinating. It reminds me of spiritual practices of many different paths, and yet simple and no dogma.

Because I was interested I clicked around on the site some, and found a navigational issue you might want to know about. I couldn't find an easy way to get back to the home page either by clicking the back button or by accessing  the global nav bar, which I expected to find at the top of the page, as is customary. I eventually initiating a new session from your link here to get back to the home page and get the link to send to my friend. I think a few simple changes would make the navigation a little more conventional and thus perhaps more user friendly.

If you have any questions on finding resources here, please let us know.

Best wishes,

Sasha

Hi Sasha,

Thank you for the great suggestions.  We have placed the navigation bar at the top for easier navigation.

The back button has been disabled because the cache feature did not allow the counter to count properly.

We will use other topic sections to ask specific questions for software.

Thanks again,

Sandy

Yes, that's correct.

The navigation at the top looks really good.

That's interesting. I wonder if there would be a way around that. The counter is so central to the site, that I can understand it must come first. I wonder if someone here in the web building forum might have a suggestion that would let you use the back button and the counter, too. I don't if there is a solution, but I think it would be worth asking. I use the back button a lot, and I think others may also.

Best wishes,

Sasha
