I would love to see a forum for TechSoup Global.

Your forum has a nice look.  I'll have to pay more attention to it in the future.

Like the new look, small fonts and all.  Would you like to say something about your new technology platform?

Thinking of other communities that could use something similar!  Does it have email integration?

Wasn't able to load up an avatar image (Chrome / Firefox or IE).

Thanks!

Interesting video. May I recommend you add the tag "youtube"? That would make it easier for people to find YouTube links. The forums are nicer, though it would have been nice for stickies to be more clearly seperated from the regular threads. I also noticed that you cannot add or use tags unless you have first edited an existing post and added tags to it. Then you can add or use tags while composing a new post or reply.

Hi,

The new forums look great. Christian mentioned my main complaints.

Other than that, I wonder if there is a way, like in the old forums, to easily see where the new posts are? Like in the old forum, when I logged in, the forums with new posts since I visited were red. That was very helpful. At this point, I am having to enter all the forums to see if there are new message to answer.

Also, is there a way to include a signature line that always recurs? That was nice in the old forum, too.

For the person who couldn't upload an avatar be sure you click update, next to the browse box, then after the image is uploaded, scroll to the bottom of the page and click save. It took me a few tries to figure it out, but all worked fine.

Best wishes,

Sasha Daucus

I like the idea of forums.  Some suggestions:

1. Most recent replies should be at the top.

2. Font size is too small.

I3. 'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1.  Everytime I hit return, I need to click back in this field to type again.

Great idea - If this posts correctly as a reply, that means I found it easy to use!

Love that there are RSS feeds - any way to get these aggregated for all the topics instead of each individual thread?

+1 for these suggestions:

1. Most recent replies should be at the top.

This is typical forum behaviour.

2. Font size is too small.

Agreed - the default font should be larger than it is.  I can change my browser settings, but that makes the other TechSoup content look huge by comparison.

3. Everytime I hit return, I need to click back in this field to type again.

This is pretty darn annoying.  I'm using FireFox 3 on Windows XP and I experience this also.
