What software solutions do you wish were on TechSoup?

Hi,

I am very pleased to see a few ESRI products in the catalog. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for a request for additional software to be included in the catalog but I could not figure a better place. Please consider including ESRI Arcpad in your ESRI software offerings. ArcPad enables the field GIS users to navigate, view GIS data, collect GIS data, etc. This addition would help round out the GIS tools you offer.

    My organization the Foundation of Family Values is a 501(c)3 public charity.  We are in need of the Adobe Master Suite for our organization.  We have recently been creating public service announcements from a studio called CreaTV which is located within walking distance of Adobe head quarters.  Our shows that we have produces do not receive funding and we would like to use the software to edit and create our shows on a regular basis. 

    Can the Adobe Master Suite be carried or made available for purchase through Tech Soup? The primary software needed is Adobe Premiere.  The other programs compliment Premiere and are needed as well.

Try looking at Spiceworks. If you can stand the advertising it's free. It works pretty well, though we haven't done as much with it as I would like. We purchased another tool before we learned about Spiceworks: ServiceDesk Plus from AdventNet software. They offer a small discount for non-profits, but it would be great to see TechSoup Stock able to carry their products as well.

Spiceworks appears to be an online resource for managing IT services.  I'm not quite sure how that would help our non-profit.  We are in need of utilizing the Adobe Master Suite to create/edit community access television shows for the public like the one that I produced:

This is a generic thread about a wish list of what software we would like to see on TS and covers a very broad range of softwares.  Including your wish for premiere and the wish for asset tracking and help desk software.

Have you looked through videohelp.com,  unfortunately your need is so specialized that if premere elements won't suffice you may have to bite the bullet and buy the full premiere.  Adobe use to have other special pricing for non profits you may want to talk directly to them and to your reseller.

Latest version of ACT software from Sage.  ACT 2009 (version 11) - it's VISTA 64 compatible, and purchasing the 2008 version which is avaiable from TechSoup really doesn't make sense at this point (as a later version is available).  Thank you.

Thank you for your Adobe product suggestion.  As Adobe has expanded their donation program through TechSoup, it is very helpful to know what products organizations really need.  Unfortunately Adobe will not donate its Master Suite collection, but we are able to request individual products such as Premier and its complementary software.  We have had several other requests for the full version of Premier (we currently offer Premier Elements) so this is something we can bring to Adobe as a request.

This has been extremely helpful. Back to Nativs Restoration is a non profit that provides habitat restoration with community involvement as well as biological consulting, environmental education and native plant landscape design. With ArcGIS software we have been able to meet contract requirements with the USDA Forest Service and have embarked on a long term project of creating more readily available and user friendly maps of local wilderness area with more interpretive information available to the public as well as restricted bilogical information for land managers. Thank you TechSoup and ESRI!

Now if only we could access AutoCAD through TechSoup for our native plant landscape design as well as biological monitoring and restoration projects!

Thanks for the good question - while so far AutoCad isn't leaning toward joining us on the site, I am potentially able to get older copies from another source (architectural firm that is releasing earlier versions - would that be of interest?
