Hi, everyone! I was wondering if anyone could recommend an open-source, Web-based, customizable grant application program. If there isn't one out there, I'll try rolling my own with PHP and MySQL, but I'd rather not have to re-invent the wheel! ;-)

First I assume you mean accepting and processing grant applications as a grantor rather than tracking grant applications as a potential grantee.
Questbridge uses CiviCRM.

CiviCRM is not purpose built to the grantor purpose, but work pretty well.
I've been playing with the idea of building one in Drupal.

I have been looking for one for grantees, so we can manage our grants and not miss deadlines and have come to the conclusion that I need to write one. I have been trying to design it using java and struts.
I did see some for grantors but no free ware. I would definitely like to find something myself also.

My company is proposing building an open-source solution using Drupal. The proposal will need support from the Knight Foundation through the Knight Drupal Initiative.
There is community comment being engaged in right now on the proposal.
