How to alert the media (press release) of your organization?

Our media relations group needs to send out Press Release emails regularly to all the various media outlets. The list is at least 20,000 and was acquired from Cision.

Does anyone know of a better or less expensive way to send out this information without hoarding our exchange server? I believe this will be done on a regular basis. Also, I'm afraid of the exchange IP been black listed.

I'm also curious to know how other organizations alerts the media on what their organization is doing periodically or on a specific project or month (ex: March Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month).
