Ideas for TechSoup Online Events

08-20-2007 10:40 AM

Here at TechSoup we're coming up with some exciting new online community events to take place in the coming months. Some of the events we've held in the past have included digital storytelling, social networking, and disaster planning and recovery.

We'd love to get event ideas from the TechSoup community. Have a suggestion for an online event you'd like to see? Post your ideas here.

Best,

Megan

Using Google code and tools, and other free web tools and enhancements on your non-profit web site.

What's out there and how to implement them, such as:

Google Analytics
Google Chart API
Google Maps
CircaVie Timelines
ESLvideo Quizes
SketchCast
Google SiteMap
etc.

Thanks, Susan, this is a great idea! I'm guessing I'm like a lot of folks who have found myself using more and more Google tools (beyond just Google-ing).

Best,

Megan

I second giving an overview of Google Sites.

A demo of all the Sharepoint templates that Microsoft provides for free with examples of how they are being used (I know you just had a Sharepoint webinar, but it was mostly reading of powerpoint slides, rather than a demo of what Sharepoint can do.)

Thanks, this is really good feedback. We've gotten similar responses from other folks who attended the Sharepoint webinar expressing that they'd like an event that has more concrete examples and templates. This is something we plan to offer in the near future, so we will keep you posted.

Best,

Megan
