Microsoft Open License Agreement(s)

Just received this email from Microsoft:

"Our records show that the following Microsoft Open License Agreement(s) with your organization will expire in fewer than ninety days:"

Software was purchased through TechSoup (reselller is listed as CompuMentor).

What needs to be renewed here?

Dear DFRC Guy,

I apologize for the confusion, what is actually expiring is your organization's Software Assurance agreement, not the licenses. The licenses will continue to operate after your Software Assurance expires, you will simply no longer be entitled to the benefits under your Software Assurance plan.

Please visit our Software Assurance FAQ for more information regarding the Software Assurance program.

Once the original SA agreement expires (2 years from the date of your TechSoup Stock purchase), you will have 90 days to renew SA for an additional two years. You may extend SA through Worldwide Fulfillment for a $21 fee. Email reminders such as the one you received will be sent when the term of your SA is about to expire.

Phone and fax numbers to contact the Microsoft WorldWide Fulfillment team can be viewed through the link provided above.

I hope this helps!

Jodi-lee -

Thanks for the clarification. We will renew the support (as inexpensive as it is, it would not make sent not to).
