Since the early days of Publisher our organization has used it to publish all our books, booklets, workbooks, and newsletters. We've never had any problems with any previous versions so I had no problem upgrading to the latest (2007) version of Office.
If you print using a plate based system, like an offset press with computer platemaker or digital duplicator with computer platemaking, Publisher 2007 is unusable. The primary problem (there are a few) is trying to use the "current page" option in the print box to print a booklet plate. Every previous version of Publisher would print the correct corresponding page on the plate so that when all the pages are later collated all the booklet pages would be in the correct order. Publisher 2007 no longer supports this.
I've checked the Microsoft Beta site for Publisher 2007 and found some complaints about this problem. Aparently not understanding the printing process they concluded this isn't a problem and decided to ignore the problem. It seems that Microsoft has decided to de-evolve Publisher into an overpriced Print Shop clone.
I had no option but to reinstall Publisher 2003 and can now print with no problems.
Be fore-warned before upgrading to Office 2007.
Because of the problems with Publisher it looks like we will have to stick with Office 2003. As support drops maybe switch to open office and drop Microsoft all together.

One other problem with the above...
After removing Publisher2007 and installing Publisher 2003 the rest of Office 2007 now seems to be acting a little strange. I'm afraid if I uninstall 2007 to do a full install of Office 2003 I'll loose all my Outlook contacts and email & folders.
Something to think about before upgrading to 2007.
Save your .pst file to an external disk. If you loose any of your Outlook stuff on the reinstall, open Outlook choose Open from the File drop down menu, then Outlook data file... and follow instructions.

Thanks
My main concern was taking the information from Outlook 2007 and getting it back into Outlook 2003? I'm not sure if they changed the format of the .pst files with the latest Outlook version.
I've been checking the Microsoft Knowledge Base and it seems that some of the Beta testers wanted to revert back to Office 2003. Their response seems to be mostly good luck with that. I couldn't find any clear cut instructions for reverting back to Office 2003 and not losing anything.
If you export the pst file you shouldn't have any problems. I have Office 2007 on my notebook and the other day I exported the pst file and loaded it onto my desktop running Office 2003, no problems here!
