I didn't quite finish my last suggestion, sorry. You have indicated that you have 1 gb RAM, I assume you have 2 x 512 mb. It might be that 1 stick is bad or not seated correctly. In the event that you have only 1 stick, you need 2 for this processor.
Good luck

I have one stick of 1 gig RAM. Also I thought it may have been my processor so I exchanged my dual core for a new one. Assembled everything VERY carefully and now nothing starts. Do you think I need another stick on RAM?
I believe the RAM needs to be installed in pairs for that motherboard.
So, two 512 mb units, or two 1gb units, or two 256mb units, etc.
I dont think you can leave one slot empty, or have mistmatched untis between the two slots.

Guys, I needed to post this message to let you know that I solved my problem. The thing is, is that it was the pc case the WHOLE entire time. I found out that the MB was not compatible with the Rosewell computer case. I did another barebone test(placed MB on cardboard). I connected everything one by one, PSU, ONE stick of RAM, and processor(still installed) and it POSTED looking for the other stick of RAM(my particular MB needs two sticks). Then added the other stick of RAM (2 gigs) and it was successful. Added the media(HDD, CD, floppy) and successfully POST. Finally I installed it back in the Rosewell computer case pressed power and ABSOLUTELY nothing booted up. I could not believe is was something so simple. I just wanted to post my findings in case it could help someone else going through the same thing.
Remember to test, test, and test again before buying anything new :(
"Not compatibile with the case" makes no sense to me. There is no interaction between the mother board and the case other than the powerswitch, which is a simple on/off ordeal.
I am more inclined to think that there was a grounding issue between the case and the motherboard, so that when installed it was grounding out. The solution would be to determine where the MB was coming into contact with the case.
But, for the price of a case, I would likely not spend too many hours trying to solve it.

Thanks that was the problem. I didn't have the cardboard washers under the standoffs which was causing nothing to start. Now it starts up and runs like a dream. I immediately sent back the other case, need to save my $$.
Thanks for the help.
