We're a small Catholic grade school launching our first development office. We have a limited database currently but hope to grow it to 500-1000 records within a few months. Our goals are to use donor management software to keep track of donations, assist in mailings and look toward cultivating major donors. We have limited need for e-commerce solutions.
That all being said, we're seriously considering GiftWorks or eTapestry. I've played around with both demos and am looking for real life users who may have thoughts. GiftWorks does not provide useful references (they claim its for privacy reasons, but i find it annoying that they can't put me in touch with another school using their software). I have yet to ask for eTapestry's references.
Do you use either? What are your thoughts? Can anyone help compare the two?
