We currently back up our three computers to each other plus to an IOMEGA REV Drive. The removable storage is rotated off-site once a week, rotating among 3 different cartridges.
I was wondering if anyone uses a standalone backup software to copy the backups to a any site? We have plenty of capacity on our existing site where our website is hosted. We just need the ability to do incremental saves to that site without duplicating files.

Would not go with Off site storage. Restoring a server over a T1 takes a very long time. Do the math. Plus what happens when the link is down... no back-up. Yikes!
Take a look at Microsoft's DPM. It will do the delta's.
For backing up the data, take a look at Groove. Not a B/U solution per say, but it will do what you need and give you more options if you think beyond on backups. I have several people using it, they all love it.

Thanks for the reply. We don't have a server, just three Win XP Pro machines with Peer to Peer connections.
My main interest is in backing up our data off-site, not the operating system and programs. Those are backed up locally to restore when I lose an individual hard drive. I am mostly concerned about having safe off-site storage of our data in case of catastrophic loss, e.g. fire, earthquake, terrorist attack (our office is in the Bank of America tower).

We do exactly the same this as you at my work. We have 5 workstations and a hosted server that has lots of room, and what we do is FTP the backup file to our server after the backup finishes.
I had a lot of trouble getting this to work at first, but when I contacted the guys who make our backup software they pointed me to a document that told me exactly how to do it.
The software we use is called BackupAssist, and the
document that they pointed me to was on their website.
Not sure if you are still looking for something, but I would give this a try as it works every time for us.

Hey guys .We have just start to using backupnation.com to back up our retail pro and important documents such as dat.files and our database.The reason we start to using this online backup provider just because our server had crashed and some of our data was lost.Backupnation.com is reliable and we can access to our data 24/7 witout any interuptions.we are backing up about 23 gig and we pay 10 bucks for per gig after 20 gig data .The best thing is They do call us if we miss a backup ,sometimes our connection is down and within 1 day we get call from backupnation.com and remind us that we missed a backup.I love them.
I do reccomend ppl who are looking to backup their data to offsite. backupnation.com is the best.

Does anyone have experience with Ibackup, backupnation.com or any other online backup vendor. we are looking to backup approx 30 Gb to 50 GB of data (no email but mostly software that we are building and document). we use MS sharepoint. Currently we do have a disk backup in office, but want to look into a remote backup solution.
Two, unfortunately we only have a T1 right now, so while we look into increasing our bandwidth, does this group have any suggestions how we can setup backup to work with what we have right now.

We have been working with backupnation.com for a while now. We first tried mozy.com then ibackup. We had to switch to backupnation because of a few problems with both.. backupnation guys actually monitor our backups and that is perfect for me since I have so much s***t to deal with as an admin day to day in my organization. It actually feels good to have that annoying stuff off of my shoulders... they turned out best for us. You should try a few I am sure you will find what’s best for you.
I have been using Mozy for online backups on my one PC for a couple of months now and have been quite pleased with it. The version I am using is the FREE one.
