Does anyone know exactly how to do a case study video? It is for a campaign we did last summer.
Hey there, are you looking for general tips on taking and editing video, or do you also want advice on highlighting your case study effectively? Can you link us to the campaign? Some info on your nonprofit would help! Here's how to fill out your community profile it only takes a few minutes!

Thank you for replying. I will get that filled out for you all not a problem. While I am doing that our nonprofit is Military with PTSD. Most people know us from the "Combat Veteran Lives Here Please Be Courteous With Fireworks" Signs from last summer. Facebook has reached out to us and invited us to share our story in the Facebook Awards 2016. Honestly, we feel we are so far out of our league here, from what I am seeing this all seems to be big advertising agencies and marketing companies. Our campaign went viral with no ads, only 3 of us volunteers working for 3 weeks to get almost 4,000 signs out, and the veterans that received a sign nationwide were all over the news. So I'm not exactly clear on how I would give Facebook a Video Case Study like they are asking for. But here is the campaign. Well it won't let me link. If you google Combat Veteran Firework Sign, that is it.
First you shouldn't feel out of your league. Instead see this as an opportunity to boost visibility of your organization - and run with it! I linked through to the Facebook site but I admit I didn't look through all of the guidelines, so I didn't find the video bit. I Googled "making a video for nonprofits" and the first page has some great best practices for you to start with. You should put your best foot forward with the video because after all it will immortalize the campaign - but honestly you don't have to spend a lot of money, and you've done the hardest part already. Now you just want to present and explain the work. I suggest using a human story to ground the video, and don't forget to show how and why the work means so much to you. Use it as a platform to reach your constituents - to the people and families who inspire you to do what you do - then everything else should fall into place. Just have fun with it!
Hey Chris, Thank you. I am reading through some of the best practices now!!! Here is one of the videos FB sent me as to a good example of a case study. Watching this is where I get confused. Our last video focused 97% percent on those we helped and like a whole 10 sec of the video was about us. But if I am watching this case study correctly this video needs to be about what our campaign did and it seems to actually focus on numbers which is a big switch for us. We are not so good talking about our self, but love to tell the stories of those we help so donors can she the direct impact they had. I am going to have to put some thought in this one I think.
Thanks for filling out your profile Shawn, looks great! Take time planning it out and you don't need to go it alone. Check out VolunteerMatch.org. Lots of great social strategists and media creators out there - maybe you'll get lucky and find your case study soulmate.
Hi, shawnjgourley, thanks for sharing your work with us.
Storymakers 2016 is offering a "Storymakers 2016 Q & A" with an expert videographer in the future. Stay tuned to this branch and I'll come and share the link once it's live.
I feel you may be a good first candidate for the Q & A.
We'll host the "Q & A" with an expert videographer who gives his/her time to review a submission and offer tips on improvement and feedback on where problems might have arisen and how to prevent them in the future.

Hey Lewis, How do you send a message? I can't seem to figure it out.
Yes, to say the least, Telligent does not have an easy-to-understand UX.
