Care Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Francisco is developing a social media site to connect donors with beneficiaries and is currently focused on connecting homeowners with prospective tenants in the Bay Area. The organization seeks US-based help with creative, strategy, marketing, web development, and fundraising.
Thanks for posting! And thanks for your efforts here on the TechSoup community to offer advice to folks - that's what the community is all about. I was about to write a response to one of the people who was looking for database advice and you pretty much wrote it! I also ride a motorcycle, but that's another story... I hope you will keep jumping in and offering advice!
To recruit volunteers, if you are a registered c 3 nonprofit, you can use VolunteerMatch, HandsOn San Francisco Bay Area, and/or the Volunteer Center. But it's best not to post a general call for volunteers but, rather, a post for each specific role: one for web design help, for instance, another for marketing, another for program management, etc. I have more advice on using these third party web sites to recruit volunteers here.

Thanks for replying. I don't normally write catch-all ads seeking volunteers, but figured since there are so few people using this forum, might as well.
I have an ad on Idealist for a Social Media content producer. I've been chewing on making an ad on VolunteerMatch for a Secretary to replace our current officer. Thanks for the other suggestions and your article. I like your comment for no more matching services. Information gets so decentralized. Too bad these sites are banding together more. I hope to change that with my project.
