Google sent out an internal memo a few days ago to G Suite Administrators announcing that major changes are coming to Gmail. Users will be getting a fresh new design and some innovative new features. Images of this new Gmail have been leaked to Android Authority.
Interestingly, one of these features is a "Confidential Mode" that will allow the sender to place restrictions on what can be done with the email message once it has been sent to the recipient. For example, you'll be able to prevent the recipient from forwarding your message to others. Another cool feature will be the ability to send emails that can be set to expire after a given amount of time has passed (30 days, 1 year, etc.).
These changes are being rolled out in the coming weeks. So expect to see a new and improved Gmail very soon.

Drat! I was hoping to hear they were finally going to let us SORT messages in different ways (sender, subject, date, attachment, read, etc).
Christian, the ability to sort messages would be a great feature. Maybe we'll get lucky!
I want a sort messages feature so so so badly...
