We need our existing audio system in one location to be upgraded and/or reworked for long term use in multiple meeting scenarios. Basically, we are using a small library as a conference room. Picture lots of reflective surfaces and big glass windows with a computer and TV at the front of the room. We need a solution for all possible meeting scenarios to continue our current streaming, small webinar, teleconference, and in-person training events in the space. We use it for platform lecture classes, small meetings, teleconference meetings for board members who can't make it to the campus.
So picture twelve standard rectangular tables with two chairs each. The PA system, while antiquated, works for amplifying the audio across the room. We have a cart custom built for streaming and a Sharp TV which connects via HDMI and can be easily seen throughout the room. So the biggest issue to solve is the audio coverage. As you might imagine, attendees on the phone have difficulty hearing and being heard. We have a Logitech conference kit and a Plantronics teleconference phone.
We're getting a lot of information about the various microphone sets for a small huddle space to a large conference room and our needs in the room vary widely so we're considering it all. In the meantime, may I ask you to share what you have found works in a space that can comfortably seat between 25 and 40 people?
