Embracing Digital Communication for Volunteer Management event, on 29 June 2017 at VAI, Islington, United Kingdom. 1:30 - 5 pm.
The agenda will start with an introduction to why organisations chose digital communication tools: what aspects to consider; what to be wary of; what inevitable costs will they incur, even with free-to-use tools. Then we will hear from Rebecca Harper (Guide Dogs) and Jo Keller (RNIB). Their presentations will explain the paths they took to deciding on the very different digital solutions they finally adopted. They provide a useful comparison of tools used to communicate with, on the one hand 50 volunteers spread across London, and on the other some 3,500 volunteers and volunteer managers spread across the UK.The final presentation from A.S. Maini (Camden Volunteer Centre) will consider and compare a range of free and cost-effective tools that are currently available for non-profit organisations.
