At my work, we'd like to present some of our data on an interactive webpage, much like this one from FAO: http://www.fao.org/gender/gender-home/infographic/en/
Do you have any ideas or software (that is cheap or better free) that can potentially help create this kind of webpage?
Thank you very much in advace!

They are using a CMS from http://typo3.com/. I can't tell if the infographic is created in the CMS itself or it's something that they created elsewhere and embedded. It's flash based. You might try sending them and email to find out what software they used to create their infographic if it's not something completely custom made. My guess is that they have a good designer that is creating it using Adobe Flash or something similar.
There are a number of sites that provide code examples to do this type of thing. I would look at the source of the page in question and see what they are doing. It may or may not be something you can use on your site, but if it is not there should be a notice by the author. It may also be covered by the copyright for the site if not provided by a third party. Contacting that organization and asking permission may be the quickest way on the path of what you want to do.
