Hello Everybody, We are a small museum up in Lake County CA. The museum is a 19th century stage coach stop that has been lovingly restored. We are located on 5.5 acres and have various farm equipment about the property. I am looking for some way to allow visitors to use their smart phone to access descriptions of the pieces of equipment as they roam the grounds. Any ideas? Pete
If there's a budget for a creation of an app, that would be great. But since you mentioned that it's a small museum... maybe some sort of an interactive map or informative map that people can manually follow then when they reach a certain area then can click for more info?
Just a follow up on this. I think another idea could be just put screens on specific locations (highlights) and show there the map and a pin that points to where the location is at the map. I think it'll help guests navigate their way without the use of app. (I think some apps can get confusing too for the elderly.) The idea is just small screens, like tablets or portable tvs. This of course would be possible if again, you have budget for it and there are locations that would be perfect to place small screens in.
