Accessing Microsoft Volume Licensing

  • I just ordered 2 copies of Windows through the Get Genuine program (ID 810871), but now I can't seem to get through to the volume licensing service, and I am not even quite clear if that's where I go to download my installer.

    The error is:

    >The business email address provided during registration is not affiliated with an Open License and/or Volume License Agreement.

    I checked both my user profile and my organization profile to confirm that dan[at]baynature[dot]org is the email on both, which is also the email I used to try to access Microsoft's VLSC.

    I searched your forums and found this:

    But the issue there was an email discrepancy, which I believe I have ruled out.

    And then this:

    This post suggests I should have gotten an email from TechSoup with an Open License number and authorization number, which I never got (not in my spam folder either). But then that post is 2 years old, so things might have changed since then.

    Any suggestions on what I can do to get my software?

  • Hi baynature!

      The Microsoft fulfillment process has not changed. You have not received the email yet because it has not yet been sent. It can take 2-3 business days for Microsoft to generate your Authorization numbers and send them to you. There shouldn't be a problem with the email address that you are using. I believe they just don't quite have it in their system yet. If you have not received your email by Friday, please reply to this post so we can check on that for you and let us know if you have additional questions.
