I noticed today a message on Quickbooks Online Plus that states that I have exceeded the number of accounts that will be allowed beginning April 10th. Additionally there is a limit to the number of locations and classes beginning April 10th.
The one remedy is to upgrade to Quickbooks Online Advanced. Does Tech Soup offer this version or do they have plans to offer this version in the future?
I'm also looking for an answer to this one. QBO wants to raise their monthly price from $60 (Plus) to $150 (Advanced) which is insane considering very little feature improvement other than the number of classes and chart of accounts.
FYI: QBO will not remove any COA line items or classes/locations on April 10th if you presently exceed the Plus quota; but, you cannot add any others which eliminates all flexibility. I suspect it's only a matter of time before QBO draws another line in the sand and makes you either eliminate classes or upgrade.
We currently use QBO and have received the same notice -- I am unfamiliar with subscriptions and purchasing through techsoup -- is the QBO pricing different than the normal direct pricing program through Intuit?
I agree that to price increase -- more than double -- is ridiculous for what is being offered as an " improved " product.
Joseph - the pricing through Techsoup is DEEP discounting. I have friends that use Techsoup - that's how I found out about it. I have yet to learn how to purchase a subscription through Techsoup to replace an existing subscription. (New subscriptions seem pretty clear-cut).
I read through the TechSoup website to learn how they are able to provide this discounting. I would recommend that you drive through all the tabs in Services, Community, and Resource pages and you'll get a good overview how they provide the discounted software. I was amazed.
In the meantime, we await to find out if TechSoup will support QBO Advanced.
Hello Diane -- Thank you for the information -- There seem to be a number of other people posting similar concerns --
I'll keep digging as you suggest.
Thank you for voicing these concerns!
We are constantly working with our donor partners to ensure the most recent products are available to organizations. In this case, we will continue to work with Intuit to find the best solution to this situation, and we will provide you all with more information as soon as we can.
