I originally created my account in late October, when we were still flying by the seat of our pants and learning about this as we went. I signed up for everything, got the email we needed to get the determination letter from the IRS, and went on our merry way. After months of waiting, we received our determination letter and promptly forwarded it to techsoup on June 29th. The FAQ says it takes 7 business days to process, but we're just now finishing business day #16. I sent a followup email on July 17th, but haven't heard back from that either -- my account is still listed as "unreponsive"..
The phone number says that it's only for "urgent matters", which though I'd really like to be validated, I don't think that this counts. Any thoughts / ideas?
The time frame for validation depends on many factors such as volume and validation path. The first thing I would do is comb through your email, include spam/junk folders, to see if you've received anything from TechSoup. It's not uncommon for them to reach out and ask for more information in order to complete the process. If they have sent an email, be sure to follow the instructions provided.
However, considering you've already emailed them, it is likely they are pretty busy with the new volume and programs. Unless you have a time sensitive need, I'd wait a couple more days. If you haven't heard anything by end of day, Wednesday, I'd call on Thursday and likely whatever is still pending can be resolved.
Thank you for the response. I just checked and I have nothing in my spam folder from TechSoup; thanks for reminding me to check there though. I'm antsy because we need the validation to get email addresses, and we need email addresses before we can start other opportunities for growing our base. I'll wait until Thursday morning and call then -- thanks again for the assistance. I'll update the thread when there is movement in the hopes that this helps someone else.
Thread update: I spoke to Anna in Customer Service today on the phone and we were able to get everything looked at (and successfully approved) today! Thank you for your help, Autumn!
