Thank you for all you do for non-profits in helping us to get discounted software! I just wonder why your website is so slow, taking almost a full minute to load even a page with very little content. The code is massive. It took forever to navigate through all the pages I needed to view, and check out was very slow as well. Can't you simplify the code and speed up the pages?
Our website is getting a lot of traffic today due to the release of Windows 7 which has been highly anticipated. You may want to try earlier in the day or later for the next few days.

I haven't run into the slow issues, but I stayed off TS yesterday because of the Windows 7 launch. Today I am zipping between pages no problem.

Yes to all comments, but would it kill someone to add a "check out" button to find how to pay and get on with life? Or, could feedback be direct rather than a community camp fire chat session?

I am sorry that you are experiencing problems on our website. As long as you are logged in and on the www.techsoup.org/stock page, you will see a shopping cart icon in the upper right hand corner of the page. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
We appreciate people NOT SHOUTING to ask questions or get feedback, as per our Community Guidelines. I understand you are frustrated however you'll find people are much more inclined to read and respond to your posts when they are civil AND NOT IN ALL CAPS.
We offer the forums as a means for getting feedback so when answers or feedback is given, it benefits the entire community instead of just one person. However, if you look at our contact page, you'll see there are a number of ways to get in touch with TechSoup staff directly. I suggest you explore this option if the format of the forums does not fit your needs.

I also appreciate all that TechSoup does of us. This slow issue is a problem today. It's not just now. It's every time that I get on the website in the last year or more. taking me 15 minutes to place an order for one product. Every click takes forever.

Please do something to fix this.
From your IP address it appears you are accessing our site via a mail server at your medical center: mail.nfmc.org.
I suggest you do a PING from your computer to TechSoup.org and then a TRACERT.
The problem may indeed be related to something on our site, but because you appear to be using a proxy server, I suspect your system administrator should be involved and notified about the results of those two tests.
First off, as someone who works in a non-profit as well, let me thank you for all that you do. I realize you must have a huge demand on your servers. But to address what the previous poster wrote, I have the same issues as them. The one thing I know is a constant when I go to the Techsoup site and try to complete an order is that it will be extremely slow and the transaction will take multiple minutes. This has always been the case and the only website I work with on a consistent basis that is consistently slow. So to help you troubleshoot here is the tracert info from my location without the fast hops at the beginning. I am not a networking person, so I don't know if these will tell you anything. Also, we are not on a proxy server.
