I'm really being challenged with this new non profit I'm working with. I agreed to help with their financials because their bookkeeper had a discrepancy and wasn't updating the account.
I was awarded this new QB for them; downloaded all her bank information she gave me on a USB; downloaded the bank transactions from the bank. And they were right, it's a mess.
She didn't set up customers or vendors, only used the register to enter transaction; yet she did set up their information for payroll; (lost some volunteers who babysat because of her inconsistency to keep the payroll going.
Rather, than trying to figure out all her past mistakes and balance the books, why can't I start fresh from January 2019 to present? What can I do - to do this? or will it be an issue with the bank I'm downloading to another account - or QuickBooks I'm using QB for two accounts when it's the same account? Or should I delete this account and start a new one?
