My org is looking for a new AMS. We had previously been using Membee and moved to YourMembership which is not functional for the price. Recommendations on a product with robust event features for an association? Considering Wild Apricot, any feedback on that product? Thanks!
Have you checked out ReviewMyAMS? You can pay to read reviews, but if you review Member or YM you'd get free access.
Lehman Reports publishes periodic reviews of AMS products. They haven't yet released their 2018 report, and they charge for access to their studies. (You could try contacting them to see whether they offer a nonprofit discount). Their 2014 report is the latest one I could fine online for free.
Also, would you mind posting your take on either Member or YM here? Why did you drop Membee? Where is YM falling short?

Hi AAHLE, there are definitely a lot of review sites for sure. They are useful for sure and may help. But, I believe that it's important to have a little more context about your situation before putting to much time in a search for an alternative.
You mention event management in your displeasure with your existing system.
Most AMS systems do attendee online event registration but fall short on the onsite and post show requirements for some of my clients. It's helpful if you could share more details on what you are having challenges in with regards to event functions missing.
BTW, this past week we finished up a short review of Wild Apricot which you may find worthy of exploration. You may find that here: http://www.smartthoughtssolutions.com/wild-apricot-membership-software-review/
We work with many association executives who are evaluating their software options. And, have written many other summaries and full product reports on dozens of AMS systems over the years.
Quite frankly, I think Membee, YM, and Wild Apricot and many AMS systems are very good. The challenge is matching them up well in the right situation for everyone to succeed. The key is determining how you define success and then figuring out if the vendor can help you get there for them to be a solution for you. That's the hard part. Isn't it?
I wish you much success in your search!
Thanks for the response. Membee and YM were just not very functional for us. Both have especially fallen short on the event side. We run an annual conference with multiple ticket types, pre-conf workshops, networking outings, and several other optional ticket types. Neither system could provide an easy to navigate registration process.
YM has also been incredibly disappointing simply by overpromising and under-delivering. I've had a lot of issues with features that are built into the system and have been told repeatedly in multiple ways that the errors I'm experiencing are my own fault because I should somehow know that there are broken features and bugs all throughout the system. It's been a frustrating experience to say the very least. I could go on and on...
I hear your pain often in this area of event functions. Ticketing functions and generally speaking onsite conference management functions are not core strengths you find across the spectrum in AMS membership options. By the way, I have Membee and YM in different Tier Categories And, moving from something such as Membee to YM is not unusual. But, honestly, I see some folks go the opposite direction too (YM to Membee). For most, it's a lateral move. In short, the YM tier level AMS systems tend to provide the same level of functionality in the area of conference event management functions. In order to find more capabilities, you likely will find success in moving up to another Tier level or considering a "best of class" approach to solving this priority. But, moving to a different Tier may not be palatable from a budget perspective.
I wish it was cut and dry. There is a lot to consider here I am sure beyond just this. If you have a list of other items and/or more specific outline beyond what you have mentioned, I would be open to review here.
I wish you much success!
