I am new to this group but have been aware of TechSoup for quite awhile as I was an I.T. person some years back. I wanted to reach out to this community and try and get some advice. I work in the Development Department and have been tasked with creating a calendar that tracks our department events and mailings. I am being asked to create and maintain a 12-18 month calendar that shows the dates of the events/projects as well as the details behind them (invitation design due, mailing list to printer, etc.) I had modified a simple Gantt-style calendar that a previous co-worker had created in Excel, however, it does not contain the sophistication and detail that is now required. (The current calendar is all done by hand.) I have reviewed a couple of project management programs and did some other research on the Web but everything seems a little overwhelming for what we need. Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts? I hope I am in the correct forum to post this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Looks like no one had a suggestion yet. Are you still looking or did you find something and could give back to the community?

You might see if smartsheet would meet your needs. The UI is intuitive, and you can turn projects into calendars and gantt charts with a single click....
You can try Asana, it is a program that shows the tasks of everybody and is really well organized!
Hi, not sure if you're still on the lookout, however if so, give Zenkit a try.
Welcome to TechSoup. Do you work for a nonprofit? If not, where have you used this product, and for what?
