Hello Tech Soup community. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. We have a developing nonprofit, called Hoods for Heroes, and we are looking to maximize our donors through database management. We have recently subscribe to the Little Green Light which we think will be a tremendous help in managing our donor database. We are looking to add some templates and thank you letters to the software and was wondering if there were some good resources that you could recommend to us. Thank you so much for your help!
Hi SECALUMNI. Welcome to TechSoup!
If you're looking for sample thank-you letters, check out Donor Relations Guru's acknowledgement resources. They also have a library of sample gift receipts. The Association of Advancement Services Professionals also has a collection of donor stewardship materials. (These won't be specific to LGL -- does that matter?) And if you search for terms like "donor thank-you letter" you'll find other resources.

I have been previously unsuccessful in my searches. I have come across solicitations to purchases but no good usable content.
No, they do not have to be specific to LGL. I will reformat the material and create my own templates
I have written a blog post on thanking donors that you might find helpful: https://www.choosetoimprove.org/how-to-thank-nonprofit-donors/
My favorite resource for thinking about how to talk to donors and potential donors, including regarding writing meaningful thank you's that don't come from a template, is HandsOn Fundraising which is written by consultant Mary Cahalane. I highly, highly recommend reading through her blogs.
