Your work is vital. We are raising funds to support it.
Micah here.. self taught 'technologist' (wannabe? ;]) that has found a late life calling in animal philanthropy through volunteering for one afternoon for two hours at a 'Kitten Rodeo' at a PetSmart store with my neighbor. That first wonderful afternoon in a room with approximately 40 kittens socializing with their peers while interviewing any new humans 'they may choose' to adopt, turned into a passion that now recalls the old axiom, "Discover how to do what you love, and you'll never work another day in your life!"As it turned out, the charity I volunteered with had been assured of significant funding, from multiple foundational sources, to expand their efforts due their success at rehoming cats for a decade. (500+ cats and kittens in permanent homes a year!) Within months of my growing volunteering efforts, the founder had asked if I would consider helping the team with a new, cage-free adoption center they were planning on opening; later my tech skills seemed a good fit too as the demand for expanding their technical equipment became evident. So here I am, a tech enthusiast with a wonderful new opportunity to truly support my animal lover affinities while honing my 'geekAzoid' tendencies towards a philanthropic goal for these wonderful, innocent creatures I so admire!Looking forward to learning daily through the Techsoup ecosystem.Warmest Regards,
