You probably already know about TechSoup’s amazing donation program, our informative blog and our free webinars. These are just three of our services dedicated to ensuring that nonprofits and NGOs have the technology resources and knowledge they need to operate at their full potential.
But did you also know that TechSoup’s NetSquared project supports nonprofit technology events and workshops happening in 50 cities across the globe? These live, in-person events are free or by donation and are the place to be if you want to network with your peers, prefer learning in an in-person environment, or are looking for ways to give back to your community.
Each NetSquared group is run by volunteers who program events reflecting the unique needs of their community. They change the topic and format each month (but this September most groups will be focusing on digital storytelling), so there’s going to be something of interest to you soon! Here’s some examples of upcoming events:
If you like hands-on workshops, you’ll love our signature social media surgeries where local experts offer private 30 minute consultations for local nonprofits. Or if you’re in Uganda check out the computer training workshops in rural schools.
If social media tools are your interest, NetSquared groups are holding meetups about Storify, social Wordpress integrations, and measuring engagement with Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
Or perhaps you just want to relax, drink a beer and connect with other nonprofit tech geeks? We also hold frequent socials where people come together for informal conversation during a happy hour.
Whatever your interest, there’s sure to be a NetSquared event that will catch your fancy. So join your local group to get alerts about upcoming gatherings.
NetSquared groups have organized over 2,200 events since we started in 2006, and we continue to grow the community each year.
In the previous year, NetSquared has held 468 events with 11,435 attendees! Why not be part of the fun and join your closest group.
