Want to learn how to make positive change in the world through a top university? 92nd Street Y, a New York City-based nonprofit community and cultural center, is launching a free MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) called How to Change the World through Wesleyan University and Coursera. The launch date of the MOOC is Monday, January 20, 2014.
Inspired by the
Social Good Summit, the course will examine issues concerning poverty, the environment, technology, healthcare, gender, education, and activism. The course will include talks, lectures, and panel discussions with the addition of hangouts, discussion groups, and readings to further explore the issues. Students who successfully complete the class will receive a Statement of Accomplishment signed by the instructor.
The Social Good Summit is held annually at 92Y in partnership with Mashable,
the UN Foundation, UNDP, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. For more about the conference, visit: http://mashable.com/sgs/#sgs.
