The Baby Steps Video Competition makes one big statement… that engaging with a child in the first five years of life, regardless of the activity, is the single most important step parents, care providers and educators can take to helping that child succeed.
Early childhood education is the most important investment we can make in our children’s future. Every touch and tickle provides an opportunity for stimulation and learning that hugely impacts the growth and development of their tiny bodies and brains.
We believe that when you add powerful storytelling with technology, moments spent touching, kissing, and playing can transform into moments of learning and discovery with your child.
That's why we're collaborating with the Kellogg Foundation and FURTHER by Design on the Baby Steps Competition! We want to capture all the cute and creative activities you do with your children through a video competition driven by powerful storytelling to show the world how America cares and educates its most precious resource...our children.
By moving audiences' "hearts and minds" through inspiring and empowering stories and messages, the Baby Steps campaign seeks to increase awareness of, and investment in, high-quality early childhood education and care.
The competition will launch on December 1, 2013 and run until February 1 2014, after which a panel of education and entertainment experts will evaluate videos for a variety of prizes ranging from cash rewards to trips to an award ceremony in California.
Join us for our first webinar, The Heart of a Good Story Is You, on December 5 at 11 a.m. Pacific time, where we'll go behind the scenes on the Baby Steps campaign for early childhood education with the Dirty Robber production team, we'll take a closer look at what goes into effective storytelling, and we'll hear about a few ways you can integrate storytelling into your nonprofit, library, or charity's mission, now.
