Screening and Awards Party on Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. Pacific time at PARISOMA — and
join us in celebration of the many powerful digital story submissions that came
to us from all over the world!
This exciting event will feature inspirational
introductions from GoInspireGo and PhotoPhilanthropy, a
screening of the top story submissions received throughout the campaign, and an
awards ceremony honoring the winning stories with some awesome prizes.

video is Toan Lam, founder of GoInspireGo.
Toan Lam is a multimedia consultant, university professor, thought
leader, and former TV reporter and host who is on the forefront of the changing
landscape of multimedia. Lam is harnessing social media to spark civic
engagement and drive global giving and volunteerism.
He is the creator and host
of GoInspireGo.com (GIG), a multimedia platform that "uses social
networking for social change." His GIG team scours the globe for
"street corner"-style heroes, producing authentic stories about them while leveraging social media to create community and raise visibility and support for them.
presenting the Lytro Camera for best photo entry is Lisa Rose, executive director at PhotoPhilanthropy.
Rose brings more than 15 years of experience in senior leadership in the philanthropic sector.
Previously, Lisa served as the founding CEO of the 1:1 Fund, a project
incubated by CFED to build a broad online and high net-worth donor base for
children’s savings accounts. She was formerly with The San Francisco
Foundation, where she oversaw donor cultivation and stewardship for a portfolio
of 450 high net-worth donors and $350 million in donor-advised funds.
joining The San Francisco Foundation, Lisa served in senior management roles at
the San Francisco Education Fund, the San Francisco Food Bank, and the San
Francisco Community Music Center. Lisa graduated from Mount Holyoke College
with degrees in philosophy and critical social thought. She studied the German,
Czech, and Spanish languages and has lived and traveled extensively throughout
Europe and Asia, including Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Laos, Vietnam,
snazzy if you like, to be red-carpet ready. And be sure to bring along your
business cards, your organization's brochures, or anything you'd like to share
with other nonprofits at the event. This is the time to network!
