Did you miss last week's webinar, Toolkit Essentials: Finding Funders for Your Cause? You can now catch up on this informative webinar on the TechSoup YouTube page.
During this webinar, the Foundation Center's David Holmes walked us through various resources, including GrantSpace, a free information resource focusing on finding funding and grants.
There are many extremely helpful resources on GrantSpace, including a Finding Funders page as well as a list of sample funding proposals with cover letters, letters of inquiry, letter proposals, and proposal budgets.
David also walked us through Foundation Directory Online, a resource that we heard a bit about during our previous webinar Mapping Philanthropy: How You Can Use Data Visualization to Do Good.
During both of these webinars, we heard about the Foundation Center's Cooperating Collections. These are libraries and resource centers across the country that provide free access to the Foundation Directory Online.
Looking for a Cooperating Collection or other Foundation Center resource near you? Take a look at the Foundation Center's Find Us page.
An excellent example of a Cooperating Collection is ONEplace at the Kalamazoo Public Library. During this webinar, we had the privilege of speaking with Bobbe Luce, the director of ONEplace.
Bobbe shared with us the various resources that her center provides, and served as an inspiration for others wishing to become or improve a Cooperating Collection.
