Sennheiser OfficeRunner wireless headsets, now available to eligible nonprofits and public libraries at TechSoup.
These headsets work with almost all office phones (VoIP and PBX), and can be used for both telephone and PC connections. They feature a 400-foot range, 12 hour battery life, and 64-bit digital signal encryption which keeps calls private.
Organizations can request up to twelve discounted wireless headset per fiscal year (admin fee: $121), and additional headsets directly from Headsets.com for 23 percent off ($169, retail value $220).
Headsets.com sent us a headset to try ourselves, and Matthew Pealer, our Client Services supervisor, gave it a two-week workout. Here's what he had to say:
"The headset is very comfortable to wear, and there's no wire to drag across your desk and push papers off on the floor. Charging the headset is quite easy, and the magnet that pulls the headset to the base is great for verifying that you've made the charge connection. I love that there are earpiece options with the headset, though I only used the one that wraps over the top of your head."
Once you have your headset, put it to work some of the donated and discounted audio conferencing services available to nonprofits and libraries through TechSoup.
Audio conferencing solutions are important for staff and volunteers spread across the state, country, and world. Here in TechSoup's San Francisco office, we use audio conferencing every day to talk with people working remotely, in the Bay Area, plus staff based in New York or Seattle, and often London or Poland.
