Dharma Merchant Services

TechSoup has partnered with Dharma Merchant Services to offer credit-card processing services and equipment to nonprofits and public libraries at discounted rates and fees. Dharma is a certified B Corporation, recognized for their triple-bottom-line business that meets comprehensive and transparent social and environmental performance standards.

Organizations can use Dharma to accept payments and donations via credit card through their website or in person with a terminal.  If an organization is already accepting credit cards, switching to Dharma could result in a significant savings on processing fees.

Dharma's Donation Program

Unique to Dharma is their practice of donating 10% of the gross processing profits on each account to a non-profit charitable organization that the account owner chooses. Nonprofits and public libraries registered with TechSoup can choose to have that donation go to their organization, much like getting a rebate on the processing fees.

Commitment to Non-Profit Organizations

40% of Dharma’s portfolio is composed of non-profit organizations. Those with charitable functions can be featured on the Dharma website.  Dharma also specializes in one-time fundraising events, with programs that do not have cancellation fees or minimum terms and offer short-term equipment rental options.

Moreover, TechSoup was so satisfied with Dharma during the vetting process that they chose Dharma for their own credit-card processing!
